Everyone needs to have a healthy self-esteem in order to be successful and that is no different for our children.  We all have strength and weaknesses that we know about, accept, and work toward strengthening. 1. Watch what you say to your child
2. Be a positive role model
3. Identify and redirect your child's inaccurate beliefs
4. Be spontaneous and affectionate
5. Give positive, accurate, feedback
6. Create a safe, loving home environment
7. Help you child become involved in constructive experiences
